Three Finnish companies seeking significant growth as an operating room manufacturer
Finnish companies Hermetel, Merivaara and Halton (known together as Inoroom) joined their forces approximately three years ago. The company consortium has made a deal of Millions with Kymenlaakso central hospital in Finland.
"I describe our product as a package of Lego bricks. We design and plan operating theatres carefully with our customers before making the Lego bricks, and after thorough planning we premanufacture the bricks at the factories. Then the bricks are brought to the destination where we build up the OR quickly and purely with reliability.", says Inoroom business manager Mikael Sokolnicki.
In three years the consortium has made six deals. The biggest so far has been the deal with Kymenlaakso central hospital in Kotka, Finland where 14 operating rooms will be delivered during the next spring. The idea is to make modern technology operating rooms as a package, which has been tested and developed in Halton's research center in Iitti, Finland. The consortium wants to grow first to the other Nordic countries and then to central Europe.
